Our Story

Papa spent his life feeding the people he loved most. Today, that same family recipe helps you do it too.

Where It All Started

Papa's Pimento Cheese traces its roots to 1929, when Lucius Donald Jordan Jr., known to everyone as Papa, was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Raised in a family of Southern cooks, he grew up with a deep love for the family pimento cheese recipe, one he'd spend years tweaking until it became a household legend.

Papa and his wife Marlene, known to the family as Grammy, kept perfecting that recipe together, generation after generation. Crafting pimento cheese perfection since 1970, it became a grocery store staple built on premium cheeses, real spices, and most importantly, a whole lot of love.
